The 2026 DBIA-SW DFW Chapter Clay Shoot is almost here, and we’re looking forward to welcoming AEC professionals from across North Texas for a day of friendly competition, networking, and giving back.

Whether you’re a returning sharpshooter or joining us for the first time, here’s everything you need to know before you head to Elm Fork.


Event Details

Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026

Location: Elm Fork Shooting Sports


Registration & Breakfast: 8:00 AM

Shooting Begins: 9:00 AM


Proceeds from this event support the DBIA-SW Scholarship Program, helping develop the next generation of design-build professionals.

All Attendees Must Complete the Event Waiver


For safety and efficiency on event day, every individual attending the Clay Shoot — shooters, sponsors, and volunteers — is required to complete a waiver.


To save time at check-in, please complete your waiver electronically before March 5:



Completing this in advance will help us ensure a smooth registration process and get everyone out to the course on time.



What to Expect on Event Day


Morning Kickoff

When you arrive:

  • Check in beginning at 8:00 AM

  • Confirm your waiver has been submitted

  • Enjoy breakfast and coffee

  • Pick up any pre-purchased add-ons (raffle tickets, mulligans, etc.)

  • Connect with sponsors and fellow shooters


Teams will receive their assigned golf cart and ammunition before heading to their first station.


The Shooting Experience

Each Team of Four includes:

  • One shared team golf cart

  • Ammunition

  • Breakfast, lunch, and beverages

  • A full morning of camaraderie and competition


Whether you’re highly competitive or just in it for the networking, this event is built for fun first and foremost.


Lunch & Awards

After shooting concludes, we’ll gather for lunch, raffle drawings, and awards. It’s one of the best networking moments of the day — so plan to stick around.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All attendees are required to sign a waiver prior to participating in or attending the event.


Please complete it in advance here:


Submitting it ahead of time will significantly speed up registration on event morning.

What should I bring?
  • A 12- or 20-gauge shotgun

  • Eye protection

  • Ear protection

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, sunscreen, rain gear if needed)

  • A great attitude

What is included with my team registration?

Each Team of Four includes:

  • Shared golf cart

  • Ammunition

  • Breakfast

  • Lunch

  • Drinks


If your company purchased add-ons (raffle tickets, mulligans, etc.), those will be included in your team packet.

What if I need to cancel?

Team cancellations must be made prior to the registration close date (February 13). Sponsorship cancellations must be made before the sponsorship deadline. Refunds after those dates are not guaranteed.

I have dietary restrictions. Who should I contact?
