DBIA-SW Committees
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the DBIA Southwest Region. As a membership-based organization, we rely on your support. In return for your involvement, you will make valuable contacts and increase your insight into the design-build industry.

NextGen Committee
The NextGen Committee organizes frequent networking opportunities that include topics of interest for young professionals in the region to further leadership within DBIA and knowledge of design-build best practices. They also assist with university outreach, SW Region event volunteerism, and promotion of the scholarship fund.
Outreach & Education Committee
The Outreach & Education Committee expands the visibility, influence, and educational impact of DBIA-Southwest Region. The committee plans and delivers member programs and events — including CEU-eligible Design-Build Done Right® education and “what is design-build” content — and leads the Region’s outreach and content hub support so the Region’s story and expertise reach members, Owners, and prospective partners.
Federal Sector Task Force
The Federal Sector Task Force monitors and pushes forward sector-related issues. They collaborate on program and speaker suggestions for various chapter events and assist in legislative efforts related to design-build legislation within the sector.
Legal and Legislative Task Force
The Legal and Legislative Task Force maintains an annual summary of legislative updates and changes within the Southwest Region and advises on legislative outreach opportunities.
Small Business Engagement and Growth Task Force
The Small Business Engagement and Growth task force focuses on ways to support small businesses and help identify design-build opportunities for small businesses in our region.
Transportation & Aviation Sector Task Force
The Transportation & Aviation Sector Task Force monitors and pushes forward sector-related issues. They collaborate on program and speaker suggestions for various chapter events and assist in legislative efforts related to design-build legislation within the sector.
Water/Wastewater Sector Task Force
The Water/Wastewater Sector Task Force monitors and pushes forward sector-related issues. They collaborate on program and speaker suggestions for various chapter events and assist in legislative efforts related to design-build legislation within the sector.
Membership Committee
A board role that is responsible for new, potential, and expiring member outreach and engagement.
Owner's Council
The Owner's chair assists with outreach and support to Owners within the Southwest Region. They organize roundtable discussions with Owners to promote and exchange experiences with design-build Best Practices and Design-Build Done Right.
Student Engagement
The Student Engagement Chair is responsible for outreach to students and faculty in our region.
Central Texas Clay Shoot Planning Committee
The Central Texas Clay Shoot Planning Committee is responsible for planning and running the Annual Central Texas Clay Shoot hosted by the DBIA Austin and San Antonio Chapters.
DFW Clay Shoot Planning Committee
The DFW Clay Shoot Planning Committee is responsible for planning and running the Annual DFW Chapter Clay Shoot held in the spring of each year in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
DFW Golf Tournament Planning Committee
The DFW Golf Tournament Planning Committee is responsible for planning and running the Annual DFW Chapter Golf Tournament, which is held in the fall of each year.
Regional Conference Planning Committee
The Annual Conference Committee is responsible for planning and running the Annual Conference held in the spring of each year.
