Owners need enhanced communication to deliver timely high-quality RFPs:
Solution: During pre-procurement and procurement phases on transportation projects, robust CAD/GIS integration is used to visualize roadway designs, identify conflicts, and track right-of-way progress. This technology enhances communication with the project owner, streamlines RFP evaluations, and ensures rapid project delivery,
High-paced projects can be difficult to keep up with:
Solution: A Construction Information Management System of record and collaboration was configured to support six border projects valued at approximately $1.1 billion. CAD/GIS integration enabled real-time project information to be available on project dashboards, and a single Project Engineer was able to oversee the quality on all six Design-Build concurrently. The system is a force multiplier.
Requirements for definable features of work along with automated inspection, testing, and issue logs are imbued in the system. This continuously reinforces project requirements and performance expectations. This enables robust diversity and inclusion. Local, diverse laboratory and quality staff are well represented in our quality teams.
Real-time updates on work completion, inspections, and tests were visualized. Issues were tracked digitally. Compliance was continuously verified, with daily reports sent to CBP, ensuring project closeout readiness within weeks of completion.
Learning Objectives:
Accelerated construction start-up and closeout;
Utilization of AI, VDC, and Digital Tools in Project Development;
Implementation of Lessons Learned and Ensuring Quality;
