Great conferences don't happen by accident. They happen because a group of committed volunteers shows up, month after month, to build something members will remember. If you've ever left a DBIA-SW event thinking "I could help make this even better," now's your chance.
We're building our 2027 Conference Planning Committee, and we want you on it.
Why Join
This is where the region's biggest event of the year takes shape: the agenda, the speakers, the sponsors, the reception everyone talks about afterward. You'll work alongside other design-build professionals who care about getting it right, build relationships across the region, and help shape an experience that reflects the best of our industry.
About the Committee
The conference committee is a working group that plans the region's flagship event alongside our staff and board. It is split into two task forces, and you can serve on either or both:
Planning Task Force: Focuses on logistics, the golf tournament, sponsorship, registration, and on-site details. This group is also launching our inaugural regional awards program. This is a great fit if you enjoy event operations and networking.
Content Task Force: Focuses on programming, including building out tracks for Water/Wastewater, Transportation & Aviation, and General Interest. Responsibilities include shaping the call for presentations, reviewing submissions, and coaching speakers. This is a great fit if you want to shape industry ideas and recognize standout work across the region.
The commitment: these Task Forces meet monthly from September 2026 through April 2027, leading up to the conference itself.
