PARTNER NEWS – TxDOT’s New Design-Build Project Outlook (Updated August 5, 2026)

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintains a robust Design-Build (DB) project outlook as part of its broader 10-year, $146.5 billion 2026 Unified Transportation Program (UTP).


As of August 5, 2026, TxDOT has shared an updated Alternative Delivery Program Project Outlook. This document serves as a critical roadmap for firms across the Southwest, outlining the anticipated procurement cadence through 2031.


Key updates include:

 

  • Removed all SH 99 Grand Parkway B-1 project information from the project outlook (contract executed on July 15th)

  • Added SH 99 Grand Parkway C-1 project (FY 29)

  • Added timeline for the NHHIP 3C-2 project in the schedule section

  • Updated SH 290 timeline to show anticipated RFQ issuance from February 2027 to January 2027

  • Updated SH 183 Expansion project timeline by sliding the TBD box back to December 2026

  • Updated NHHIP 3D-1 project name and project limits
