November 15 Central Texas Clay Shoot - What to Expect

Updated: Nov 13, 2023

Hey there, sharpshooters!

Get ready to break clays for a cause at the highly anticipated DBIA-SW Central Texas Clay Shoot on November 15, where we aim to support the DBIA Southwest Region and its Scholarship Fund. It's not just about who's the quickest to the draw; it's a chance to build your network, showcase your skills, and have a blast (literally)!

Where the Action Is

Set your sights on the National Shooting Complex at 5931 Roft Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253. Attendees are encouraged to check in at 8:00 AM, and by 9:00 AM, you should be locked and loaded because that's when the action begins.

Gear Up

What to bring with you

Whether you're partial to a 12- or 20-gauge*, remember to shoulder your trusted shotgun (sorry, pistol grips, you're sitting this one out). National Shooting Complex does provide rentals if you're traveling light. Don't forget your eye and ear protection and dress for success—and by success, we mean Texas weather.

*Important note for our 20-gauge shooters - Boxes of 12ga ammo will be set at each station. If you bring a 20ga, you must pick up your ammo from the pro shop and carry it with you before heading out to the course.

What we provide

We've got you covered with ammo, a spot with your team on a 4-person golf cart, and sustenance in the form of breakfast tacos, a BBQ lunch, and celebratory drinks and cigars. For all the coffee aficionados, bring your favorite brew to sip with your breakfast taco.

Before the Blast

Team Captains, head to the registration table when you arrive. Collect your team's station assignment, welcome gifts, and raffle tickets.

Raffle Rush

Remember, pre-purchasing raffle tickets is like loading your shots beforehand—it's a time-saver. So do it by November 13 at 5 PM and dodge the last-minute rush.

Questions

Trying to reach us on the day? We might be deep in setup mode, so for any burning questions, hit us up beforehand at Sumbel@dbia-sw.org.

Rain Check

If the weather decides to go south, keep your scopes on our website at dbia-sw.org/central-texas-clay-shoot for updates. Fingers crossed for blue skies!
