More Information About The Oklahoma Military Department RTI Wellness Center

The Oklahoma Military Department Wellness Building is a new, state-of-the-art facility being built at the Oklahoma City Military Complex to support the health and readiness of Oklahoma National Guard members, Military Department employees, and other first responders. Construction began with a groundbreaking in August 2024, and the roughly 32,000-square-foot center is expected to be completed in late 2025.

The Wellness Building is designed to integrate physical, mental, and holistic support services under one roof. It will replace the older fitness facility and include a fully equipped gym for resistance and agility training, physical therapy spaces, indoor and outdoor meditation areas, conference and classroom spaces, a teaching kitchen, a coffee bar, and a non-denominational chapel.

The facility will also house numerous wellness and support programs such as Behavioral Health, Chaplain services, Family Programs, Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F), Resilience, Suicide and Substance Abuse Prevention, and more—making it a centralized hub for services that enhance both physical fitness and overall well-being.

Designed with a focus on wellness standards that consider factors like natural light, air quality, and comfort, the building aims to create a welcoming environment that supports optimal performance and readiness for service members and their families.

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) is an organization founded in 1993 by leaders in the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Their goal was to improve the process of bringing projects from design to delivery. While they didn't invent the design-build process, they focused on perfecting it and sharing their expertise with a wider audience.

Today, DBIA is considered the authority on Design-Build Done Right®. It consists of professionals from various fields, including architecture, engineering, construction, academics, students, and project owners. DBIA members collaborate and innovate to successfully deliver projects across the United States.

DBIA brings together multiple disciplines to redefine what design-build can achieve, not only for large projects but also for smaller ones. They provide education and certification that transform businesses and inspire creativity within the industry. DBIA aims to ensure that everyone in its community, from practitioners to project owners and citizens, can harness the potential of design-build to achieve higher-quality outcomes in the present and the future.
