Mark your calendar and start planning your team's trip: registration is officially open for the 2026 Design-Build Conference & Expo, taking place November 4-6 at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

This is the event of the year for our industry, and the only conference built exclusively around design-build. Every fall, thousands of Owners, practitioners, designers, engineers, and contractors come together for three days of learning, networking, and momentum-building for the delivery method we know works. This year, that community is expected to top 2,300 attendees, and we want the Southwest Region well represented.

What's Waiting for You in Cleveland

Whether you're chasing continuing education hours, new business relationships, or a fresh perspective on where the industry is headed, this year's program has you covered:

  • An opening keynote that looks forward. Futurist Mike Walsh takes the stage to explore how AI is reshaping leadership, decision-making and the future of work — essential thinking for anyone leading a design-build team.

  • New research on Progressive Design-Build. The ACEC Research Institute is unveiling exclusive research on this fast-growing delivery method, giving you data to bring back to your own project pursuits.

  • Owner-led insight. Hear directly from industry-leading Owners on what it really takes to earn "Owner of Choice" status and consistently deliver outstanding project outcomes.

  • Five education tracks. Choose your own path through sessions on AI, virtual design and construction (VDC), collaboration, leadership, workforce development and real-world lessons learned.

  • An opening party with a view. Kick off the conference with networking and music at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

  • Two optional preconference experiences. Get there early for the Virtual Design & Construction Leadership Exchange (VDCLEx) or the Collaborative Delivery Leadership Academy Foundations Course.

Save Before Sept. 4

Early-bird pricing is available now, but only through September 4. The sooner your team registers, the more you save, so don't wait until the fall rush.

Owner Scholarships Available

DBIA also offers an Owner Scholarship Program for public and private sector Owners, providing a complimentary full conference registration and, for approved recipients, a limited travel stipend of up to $500. Scholarships are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so Owners in our region should apply early.
