PARTNER NEWS – TxDOT Announces Industry Workshop for SH 99 / Grand Parkway Segment C-1 Design-Build Project
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has kicked off the pre-procurement process for its next major Houston District Design-Build project: State Highway (SH) 99 Grand Parkway Segment C-1. With a robust portfolio of Design-Build (DB) and adjacent Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects rolling out across the region, experienced teams are strongly encouraged to begin preparing now for upcoming announcements, RFQs, and RFPs.
Industry Workshop Details
TxDOT is hosting an in-person Industry Workshop to present project information, outline procurement strategies, and gather feedback from potential proposers.
Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM CST
Location: Houston District Auditorium, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, TX 77007
Format: In-person only
Objective: Share information regarding project development, procurement, and implementation, while receiving feedback directly from the Industry.
One-on-One Partnering Meetings
TxDOT will also hold pre-procurement one-on-one meetings with Design-Build teams, prime contractors, and lead engineering firms.
Meeting Dates: Week of December 7, 2026 (In-person at the Houston District Office)
Deadline to Request a Meeting: Submit expressions of interest via email on or before November 9, 2026.
Feedback Submission Deadline: All written project feedback, comments, and questions must also be submitted by November 9, 2026.
