Notice of Slate & Leadership Announcements for the 2026–2027 DBIA-SW Board of Directors

The DBIA-SW Executive Committee met in early March to discuss nominations for the 2026-2027 DBIA-SW Board of Directors. The following candidates have been proposed for your consideration and approval.
The DBIA Southwest Region is governed by a Board of Directors, with members serving two-year terms from April to April. Officer candidates are nominated by the Executive Council in accordance with our bylaws. Candidates must be DBIA members in good standing to be eligible for election as a Regional Officer, Board Member, Committee Chairperson, or Chapter Chairperson.
The Opening Plenary Breakfast at the May 8th 2026 DBIA-SW Regional Conference will serve as our Annual Meeting, where the approval of the Board Slate will occur. Elections will be decided by a majority of the members in good standing, present and voting. Members may also nominate additional candidates from the floor during the meeting.
The DBIA-SW Executive Committee, serving as the Region’s Nominating Committee, met in early March to identify and recruit candidates for the 2026-2027 leadership cycle. The following candidates have been proposed, approved by the Board of Directors, and appointed by the Executive Committee.

In accordance with our bylaws, Regional Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) are elected by the regional membership, while Committee and Chapter Chairpersons are appointed to the Board by the Regional Executive Council. All candidates must be DBIA members in good standing to be eligible for service.
