The DBIA Southwest Region is excited to officially welcome our newest Student Chapter at Sam Houston State University!
This new chapter marks an important milestone for DBIA-SW as we continue to grow and strengthen the pipeline of future design-build professionals across the region. We’re thrilled to see students at Sam Houston State University step forward to engage with the design-build community and bring collaborative thinking to their campus.
Welcome to the DBIA-SW Community
Becoming a DBIA Student Chapter means joining a larger network of students, educators, and industry professionals who are passionate about collaboration and integrated project delivery. As part of DBIA-SW, the Sam Houston State University Student Chapter is now connected to regional and national opportunities that extend well beyond the classroom — from networking with industry leaders to participating in DBIA events and competitions.
Most importantly, it means these students are now part of a community that believes the future of the built environment is shaped by teamwork, innovation, and early engagement with industry best practices.
Looking Ahead
We look forward to seeing the Sam Houston State University Student Chapter grow, host on-campus events, connect with DBIA professionals, and take advantage of the many opportunities available through DBIA-SW and DBIA National. From attending conferences to participating in the Design-Build Student Competition, this chapter is well-positioned to make an immediate and lasting impact.
A Warm Welcome
To the students, faculty advisors, and supporters who made this chapter possible — welcome to DBIA-SW. We’re proud to have Sam Houston State University join our community and can’t wait to see what this chapter accomplishes in the months and years ahead.
