David McBeth, PE

Assistant City Engineer

City of San Antonio, Public Works

David McBeth has been working in the private and public sectors for over 40 years performing Civil Engineering and Project Management for private development, municipal, state and federally funded projects. David graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a long-time resident of San Antonio. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.  


Currently he is serving as the Assistant City Engineer for the City of San Antonio’s Public Works Department where he oversees the Project Management division that is charged with the design of over $700 Million in capital street, pedestrian, bike and drainage projects.


During his 16-year tenure with the City, he has participated in the implementation of four (4) Bond Programs totaling $3.2 Billion. When away from work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult sons.
