About The Speakers

Andre McEwing has served as the Supplier Diversity Manager for Tarrant County College District (TCCD) for the past 8 years. He was formerly the Executive Director of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. which provides community development advocacy, marketing, and assisted in the implementation of various sustainable economic development housing, retail, and commercial projects within southeast Fort Worth, an underserved minority community. Each of these developments transformed and eliminated environmentally contaminated areas and created new business locations that created jobs. He has served in various board and Civic capacities, including the Trinity Metro Board, the American Public Transportation Association Board, the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth Board, and the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency. He currently serves as Chairman of the Tarrant Transit Alliance Board. Mr. McEwing attended TCCD formerly Tarrant County Junior College and Morehouse College receiving a BA degree with a concentration in Banking and Finance and a Masters of Sustainability from the University of Texas Arlington School of Urban and Public Affairs. He is a member of Beta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, NAACP Life Member.

Onyinye Akujuo is a seasoned transportation professional, change agent, and a federal programs maven. Her expertise in transportation planning, transit infrastructure development, federal compliance, grant development, and transportation policy has allowed her to attain over $3B in grant funding and an overall savings of $300M for her companies over the course of her career. Onyinye was awarded Top 40 under 40 from Young Government Leaders, 40 under 40 for Mass Transit Magazine in 2018, and 40 under 40 for Georgia Trend Magazine. She is an inaugural fellow for NYU's Transportation Fellows and Leadership NY. Onyinye was instrumental in bridging federal partnerships for transportation development such as BRT and Streetcar enhancements. Onyinye managed the Unified Planning Work Program for the New York City Department of Transportation under NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration. Most recently Onyinye served in leadership at the Fort Worth Transportation Authority and was instrumental in bringing in over $70M in federal funding in her first year for Transit-Oriented Development, Covid-19, and the final phase of TEX-Rail. Onyinye is from Queens, NY, and held management roles in NYC, Atlanta, and now in Texas. She is a graduate of NYIT with a MA with distinction in Corporate Communications and Integrated Marketing and an Honors BS in Media and Communications from the State University of New York at Old Westbury. She is currently finalizing her Executive MBA at Cornell University, Johnson School of Business where she is focusing on Real Estate, Investments, and Emerging Markets. She is married to her awesome husband William, lives in Texas, and enjoys planning her life and executing outreach plans.

Ross Bowman has over 20-years-experience as a project manager for rail, public works, and land development projects and has successfully delivered major civil infrastructure projects for both public and private clients throughout Texas. He was the Deputy Program Manager for the Tex Rail Project from southwest Ft. Worth to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and previously served as the Principal-in-Charge for the Denton County A-Train Commuter Rail Program.  He is a certified Project Management Professional and has spent the last 20 years providing leadership in an extension of the staff environment. A licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Ross has a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Construction Project Management from the University of Texas, and an MBA from Saint Edwards University in Austin. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant, Civil Engineer Corps, and SeaBee Combat Warfare Specialist. Ross also has his DBIA certification.

Travis Liska is an experienced regional urban planner with a focus on integrated land use and transportation planning. He is skilled in leveraging spatial data and policy analysis to advance a sustainable and fiscally responsible built environment. He has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with Transportation specialization from Texas A&M University and currently serves as a Senior Transportation Planner at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
