Join us for this special Albuquerque Chapter Luncheon Presentation and Networking Event: What is Design-Build? More specifically, what is Design-Build Done Right™? The Design-Build Institute of America’s mission is to be the industry’s preeminent resource for leadership, education, objective expertise and best practices for the successful integrated delivery of capital projects. In this short course we will cover the definition of design-build and how it differs from traditional design-bid-build and from other “alternative” delivery methods. We will explore the history of design-build and how design-build project procurement works for the owner, the practitioner and for subcontractors/suppliers. We will discuss DBIA, the DBIA Designated Professional education program and how to become involved in DBIA. We will explain Design-Build Done Right™ and Best Practices for successful design-build projects and discuss what laws are currently on the books in New Mexico enabling design-build procurement. Finally, we will leave plenty of time for your questions and hopefully provide some answers! *Currently pending approval for 1.0 hour of DBIA credit.
