The DBIA Southwest Region is thrilled to announce the call for presentations for our 2025 Regional Conference, themed “Driving Innovation Forward: Collaboration in Action.”
Join hundreds of professionals from the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) community at this event in Austin, Texas, on April 14-15 at River Place Country Club (4207 River Pl Blvd, Austin, TX 78730).
With design-build expanding rapidly across the industry, we’re inviting experts to share insights that drive successful project outcomes and advance the future of design-build delivery.
Why Share Your Knowledge?
Design-build currently accounts for 42% of construction spending, and projections show it could reach nearly 50% by 2026. This growth reflects design-build’s potential to meet project demands efficiently, especially through innovative procurement methods like Best-Value and Progressive Design-Build (PDB). Our conference emphasizes these trends, along with the vital best practices and strategic shifts required to optimize results. If you have unique insights into overcoming challenges, leveraging technology, or applying Design-Build Done Right® for triple-bottom-line success, we encourage you to submit a proposal.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome submissions on topics essential to today’s evolving market dynamics, emphasizing real-world applications and actionable strategies. Some areas of interest include:
Industry Trends and Evolution: Explore the latest in design-build and PDB practices, engineering advancements, and supply chain management.
Collaboration and Integration: Share strategies for early engagement, team integration, and co-location benefits.
Technology and Innovation: Cover cutting-edge technologies like VDC, BIM, and AI, and discuss preconstruction and estimating advancements.
Public and Private Sector Engagement: Dive into effective Owner relationships, innovative financing, and procurement methodologies.
Sustainability and Resiliency: Discuss design-build’s role in meeting sustainability and resiliency goals, especially in crisis scenarios.
Leadership and Workforce Development: Address mentorship, workforce retention, and leadership in the evolving AEC landscape.
