DBIA - SW Region partners with our DBIA National office to make information and education available to the southwest region of the nation.
The DBIA-Southwest Region's 2013 Board of Directors slate was approved at the 9th Annual DBIA-SW Region Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 16-17, 2013. Thomas Stazula now begins his two-year term as Southwest Region Chair, Hugh Sanford is Vice-Chair, Michael Stubbs is Secretary and Rodney D'Spain was elected to the Treasurer position. Please also join us in welcoming Chris Butler, Kim L. Macy and Mark Penny as new members to the DBIA-Southwest Region Board. In addition, the following board members renewed their terms for another two years of service: David Bloxom, Christopher Carr, Raquel Ibarra, Randy Landers, Randy Nance, Shirley J. Ross and Drew Yaggy. The Southwest Region looks forward to another year of excellent leadership and continued success.

Our thanks to all who attended the 9th Annual DBIA-SW Region Conference in New Orleans. Craig Unger started us off with a bang, the panels got us thinking and asking questions, DBIA Executive Director Lisa Washington got us up to speed on DBIA goals, the Texas Tech University Student D/B team showed us why their project was a winner, and Barbara Jackson's keynote presentation closed us out in style.
Congratulations also to our incoming Board and Officers, and a big thank you to our outgoing Chair Doug Herbst. We enjoyed seeing all of you there and getting the chance to network. Finally, an extra special thanks to all of our conference sponsors for their tremendous support of this conference.
